Ugh!!!

"Your blog should be called 'Rachel Forgets Her Camera' " - burn, by Ed Kane.

Well, Steppy was accurate as I fatefully realized at brunch today that I had left my camera at home. No pictures of brunch merriment, or the delicious raspberry orange pound cake I made, or of the little siblings' cute gingerbread houses, or of Katie the dog, or of Kadi the person....BLAST!

You'll just have to deal with more Christmas decorates that Ken put up:

Our Jack Skellington and my little party favor ornament from the girl cousin's party yesterday...

One of our nativities in between a wedding photograph and a cheesy mother/daughter picture from the 90's.....

Ok, let me explain, I went into a super cooking frenzy last night. However, the containers that I have for my food are made out of plastic, and I am WAY too lazy to set up a fancy food shot for this blog, so I'm going to straight up plagerize the cookbook photos.
Above is some Giada de Laurentis (I'm also too lazy to spell-check her name....or any other words on this blog) Butternut Squash soup, which is savory and creamy, although there's no cream in it.
Below is a Risotto with Pear and Goat Cheese. Yes, I did try to make the snazzy dried pear slices garnish. Did they turn out? No. So trust me, this picture is way better. (photocredit, the cookbooks' photographer)

Well friends, I'm off to work today and then I get 2 days off!! Including my 2 year anniversary with Kenny. Can't wait to tell you all about it!

  1. Cheesy mother-daughter photo? Whatever. Cheese is delicious, by the way.

  2. Cheesy is never bad, and I display that picture proudly.
