I had no idea what to blog about today. My sleep pattern is terrible lately, so I haven't been able to wake up early for many adventures. So I thought, for those of you who haven't seen it yet, I would give you a little look at the art around my house.
So, a few months ago my grandparents were going through some of their old art and I jumped on this painting that a friend of theirs had done of my grandpa's Airforce.... flight... stuff. She even put 'Nelson' on the little name badge, my grandpa's last name (duh). The frame actually comes from a fence in Texas where the family was stationed. I love it!
This is a photograph of my grandma in college that I turned into a Van Dyke Brown photo-painting, on newsprint paper. She was playing dress up for a sorority party ( I think ). I inherited this trait of pretend as you will see....
These are just some drawings I had to do in a required Drawing 2 class at school. I say it non-chalantly, but I obviously think they're the sheezy or I wouldn't have hung them on my wall.
Ok, so I admit that all these paintings/drawings are not mine (that painting in the top left corner is Van Gogh's). I don't know if you can tell, but the bottom left drawing is supposed to be of the black sleigh-chair in this picture. Let's play I SPY! Who can see Baxter (my shih-tzu)?
I love to play dress-up. I never grew out of it I guess. I think I will grace you all with a photo-montage of all the silly things I've dressed up as, does that sound fun?
This is another photo-painting of me as The Corpse Bride, and next to it is a skull still life I had to do in Beginning Drawing.
Yep, more photo-paintings of me dressed up and bein weird. Hope you enjoyed guys! Sorry this was the most ego 'look at me' post ever. Off to work now!
I love your artwork. I think it's amazing, since you obviously didn't get the talent from me!
