Around the House

Today was another late start, I know, shocker! No adventures today really except in my sleep, so I thought I would show you some things from around the house, sorry if there are any repeats.

Here's an example of a Pinterest FAIL. I spray painted a sheet of metal and I guess it didn't really get dry, because the make up just stuck to the paint....but maybe I'll just call it a marble effect. I know, it's a lot of M.A.C., but there are eyeshadows there that I've had since high school, guess which ones (purple).

Some more Pinterest FAILS but you can't really see them. I tried putting all of these things on a metal stand, but they don't really fit and now the metal stand just takes up room instead of saving it. I also tried taking a picture of my nails holding that nail polish (it's a pretty dark blue) but I couldn't get a shot where my hand didn't look like a child's or a fat dwarf's.

Aw the closet....

The most organized section of our house! The booze glass shelf! See the pretty martini glasses my Dad bought us for our anniversary? I haven't used them yet! Guess we know what I'll be doing tonight after work.

This is day 3 of the Top Ramen diet, it's going remarkably well, thank you for asking.

Lastly, my little friend Baxter wanted to wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas. Don't worry, I took those off him immediately after this shot.

Well, I have to work tonight and tomorrow, what are you all doing this weekend?

Finally an Early Post

I don't have to go into work until 5:00 tonight so I thought I would try and do an early post.

However, there were no real adventures that took place today since I had to drive my Dad around on some errands for an hour and a half, not complaining, just explaining.

So instead I took some more boring rose pictures...not Ophelia Rose of course, that could never be boring!

I have loved these purple roses since I was really little. I think I was in first grade when I pulled a muscle in my neck and couldn't move it, and this really sweet neighbor lady brought me a bouquet of roses that she grew in her front yard. First of all, they're purple, win. Second, I believe them to be the most fragrant type of rose there is. Lovely, and now I have my own!

I hope you all have a lovely day, and that I get to see you at the Knights of Columbus Hall on 10th and Ogden for Acoustic Knights tonight!!! (If work permits)

Gimme soma that HAIR!!!

The good news is that I found my camera battery charger! It was underneath a dresser (sorry for indicating the grandparents).

There's no bad news.

I thought I would talk a little bit about hair tonight...(by the way, sorry for all the late-night posts lately...it's just I wake up at noon and get ready for work...so nothing really happens until night time)

Anyway, these thoughts on hair were probably brought on because of talking to my beautiful bestie Lisette who's away studying hair right now (and who's arrival I can't wait for to play with my own hair)

In highschool, every girl I went to school with had this hair:

or this hair:

I'm not kidding.
Every girl seemed to know how to use a curling iron except for me, either that or they all had hairstylists for parents. Because of my lack of skill, my hair was usually worn straight and looked like this:

...or atleast I felt it did.

When the bravery did strike to try and curl my hair it would turn out something like this:

Only it wasn't freaking adorable because I was a 16 year old giant with a body of a 30 year old and it wasn't the 1930's. People noticed.

ANYWHO, I would like to make an announcement! "I am 23 years old and I finally figured out how to use a curling iron (I think)"

Now sure, my hair still looks a little closer to Ugly Betty than a Kardashian, but there is no longer that mark near the ends of my hair where the curler clamps down and leaves an impression, do you know what I mean? The tresses themselves are much looser, aw heck, here's a picture:

Ok! Ok! It looked way better this afternoon and it's been up in a ponytail because of work (mouth, what are you DOING???!!!)

Also I thought I would show you some of my hair dreams:

Don't worry(mom) nothing this cool is allowed at my place of tropical business :/

I will keep you updated on the hair progress everyone if you're not already asleep. Love you all, and goodnight.

A Night with Audrey

Well guys, today's adventures consisted of waking up and frantically studying the menu of my restaurant because I started training to be a server today.

After a few hours of doing so I came home and began to tackle the frightening laundry mountain...

I started to drift off when I realized-GASP! I haven't blogged today!

Then, to my utter horror, I discovered that my camera battery is dead and my charger is no where to be found....although I suspect grandma's house....

I have resigned to cozy up and go to sleep early while watching (let's play a little game, guess) this movie:

I didn't take this picture (because I can't take any), so I'm sorry it's a bit skewed.

Goodnight friends!

Merry Christmas!!!

Ken and I had a really relaxed, mellow Christmas.

We woke up super late, picked my Dad up from a bar, went to Mass the decided to make dinner.

(Well, I talked Ken into making dinner at my mom's...so his Christmas wasn't as relaxed as mine)

The only kind of beer I'll drink....

Grace and Spotty...she named the other one Andrew, but everyone just calls him 'Fatty'....

The delicious dinner Ken made...the best mac-n-cheese you'll ever eat in your life!

Merry Christmas to all! And to all a good night!

Happiness II

Just wanted to add a few more photos from last night.

Sorry about the really short posts lately, I swore I would post every day! So sometimes I scramble to get the pictures edited and I'm sure you could tell I stopped writing last night and just put the post up.

Anywho, just a few more from our Christmas Eve eve:

There was one perseon that was more excited about Grace's hamsters than Grace....

Theresa got a cake for her birthday!

Grace demanded, "Take a picture of me in my jams!", so I obliged...

Ken, Jacki, Grace and Dani played Sorry for two seconds. As soon as Grace started to pout I told her it was a horrible game where horrible things happened to you, so she got up and left....sorry kid....I loathe that game.

And this is what Jacki looks like with blonde hair....while I look drunk....

Anywho, happy Christmas Eve everyone!

Pre-Party party

After a crappy day at work I got to kick back with Theresa and her friends for a little pre-birthday bash. Where:

 Silly faces were made....

and giggles were had!

Yes! I made it before midnight. Counts.

Ho Hum...

Just another boring work day....so I decided to spice it up with some M.A.C. Russian Red lipstick!

Ken's best friend Vincent and his wife Lainey gave a giftdcard to The Cheesecake Factory! So after my few short hours at work we enjoyed yummy food like this:

Not vegetarian...oopsie! But you know what was? The Lemon Drop martini and Bailey's and coffee I had!
The ultimate score was the waitress bringing us TWO cheesecakes because one of them was missing a small piece....I had no problem with it.

G'night friends!!
